My Background
My career as an artist and designer has spanned over 30 years in graphic design and printing,
followed by nearly 20 years in bronze sculpture and architectural metals.

Now, in semi-retirement, I'm returning to my first love...
creative expression in fine arts.

My Medium
I enjoy painting in oils and acrylics, as well as drawing in
colored pencil, charcoal, and pen and ink.
I am having a great time exploring textural techniques in acrylic,
including "pouring" and alcohol resist. I will also be trying my hand with encaustic.
I have included some sculpture as well.

My Inspiration
I find great beauty in the textures of nature. Marbles, stones, sand and water, clouds.
I enjoy the micro even more than the macro. As I experiment with abstracted images,
these textures are always in the back of my mind.
I'm inspired to discover the nature hiding in my "accidental" abstracts.
